2024 Annual Celebration

Our keynote speaker was Labor Author Phil Cohen, who spent 30 years as a lead organizer for Workers United/SEIU, specializing in defeating professional union busters. His work before the NLRB established national precedent, defining a key element of illegal union busting.

Phil also writes critically acclaimed books and magazine stories about his exploits in the field. His latest book describes being inserted into a union local at a Fortune 500 company running an illegal decertification, supported by the Trump NLRB and National Right to Work Committee.

Black Lives Matter and Movement for Black Lives: At Cleveland Jobs with Justice, we are both saddened and outraged by the continuing deaths of our Black Sisters and Brothers across the country due to both police and racist violence. We also condemn the actions of some of the police in their handling of the protests, which ultimately leads to more civil violence and unrest in our cities. We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and the Movement for Black Lives as we continue to organize and mobilize toward the needed change, transformation, and investment in our communities.
